Inclusion
With our Christian ethos of hospitality, everyone is welcome at The Holme.
Our school values of Wisdom, Courage and Love guide us in ensuring that everyone is included equally in our school life and to promote the rights and needs of all.
You can read about our Equality Objectives, Ethos and Policy here.
Our Accessibilty Plan can be found here.
Each child is unique. If your child has a special educational need or disability, the level of provision used to support them will vary. The school utilises a continuum tier system that identifies the SEND support required, in order to help ensure your child’s needs are met. Pupils with SEND are quickly identified and their needs catered for on an individual basis.
Teaching throughout the school is differentiated to meet the needs of all and our high percentage of adult to child ratio means an abundance of high quality support is available. A range of high quality resources and staff training is in place to ensure an ongoing programme of effective intervention is being implemented and that good progress is being made.
SENCO
Mrs Hotchkis, our SENDCo is responsible for the overall co-ordination of our SEND provision and a point of support and advice for parents. Please send an email if you would like to make an appointment to meet with Mrs Hotchkiss.
Miss Lawrance our Inclusion Lead and Mrs McMillan can also help with supporting children with additional need. Both can be contacted via email or telephone via the school office.
